VICEROY MAVEN - Hawai'i Intern

  • Assigned to the Hawaii National Guard as a full-stack developer intern to design a software solution as a means of aggregating State and Federal sources of input into one consolidated platform for coordinating wildfire response efforts within a simple common operating picture
  • Collaborated in a team with data science and cybersecurity backgrounds, along with HING mentors to develop a web application tailored to improve the operational workflow at the JOC for emergency response allocation and assessing risk
  • Collaborated and planned a web app’s features based on a military command center’s needs for improved operational workflow in coordinating better response efforts for emergencies
  • Developed a web app using Node.js, Prisma ORM, PostgresSQL, Next.js, Bootstrap, CSS and TypeScript as a software solution for the HING JOC’s needs
  • Designed a system that allows for creating map markers to assess incident locations, viewing fire-related news within all counties in Hawaii, and a messages component for improving communication initiatives for synchronized coordination efforts
  • Deployed the app at https://hifirescenter.org/ using DigitalOcean as the IaaS provider
